Heavy weapon systems parades in Russia were a common place during the time of the cold war, these parades allowed the Soviet Union to showcase their systems to the west and to its people. But with the collapse of the Soviet Union these large scale military parades of heavy systems where put on hold. Now the Kremlin has announced that in this weeks Victory Parade, tanks and new missile systems will be put on parade in Red Square once more. The Russian government has stated that this is not intended to be viewed as a threat to any nation. The international community will be watching closely this Victory Parade to see what old or new systems Russia will be showcaseing. One key showcase of the parade will be the display of the Mobile Topol missile system that has been in development and is now being deployed. The Parade will take place on May Friday the 9th
