Israel Tests Ballistic Missile

As tension rise over Iran’s nuclear program and intentions the state of Israel on January thursday the 17th, 2008 conducted a successful test launch of an unknown type of ballistic missile from the Palmachim air base. The government of Israel stated in a press release the missile is capable of carrying an unconventional warhead.
Israel has been planning to deploy a new missile system the Jericho-3 to upgrade from its current Jericho-2 missiles. Last mornings test could possibly have been a test of a heavily modified Jericho-2 missile setup for testing features of the new Jericho-3 missile since the press statement released stated the test was for the purpose of testing missile propulsion.
