Pakistan today on Saturday August 25, 2007 conducted a test launch of a new indigenously built cruise missile that they are calling the Hatf-8 also called “Ra’ad” the new missile is a air breathing cruise missile that is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead payload. Pakistan and India have both been working on deploying competing missiles systems in both Ballistic missile systems and Cruise missile designs. Pakistan is claiming the new Hatf-8 missile system has a low detection signature giving the new cruise missile stealth ability.
